The Urban Learning Center has a staff of five. The staff includes an Executive Director, an Academic Advisor, an Outreach Specialist, an Administrative Assistant and a Technology Lab Coordinator (temporary/part-time).
The Director oversees all operating, budgetary, and personnel aspects of the Urban Learning Center and reports to the Partners Board.
The Academic Advisor meets with students to help them make decisions about their education. All students must meet with the Academic Advisor prior to registering for classes. The Academic Advisor helps students obtain tutoring and answers any questions that students may have about the Urban Learning Center.
The Outreach Specialist goes out into the community to recruit students, assists with grant applications for Urban Learning Center funding, assists students with completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid and admissions applications.
The Administrative Assistant greets visitors and students, answers general questions about the Urban Learning Center, assists students in the technology lab during the day, designs the Urban learning Center website, assists other staff members with technology related issues, and maintains the student data base.
The Technology Lab Coordinator assists students in the technology lab during evening classes.
